Food is our passion- we love it and plan our lives around it. Plan to spend April 8 – 13, 2014 in Scottsdale, Arizona for the annual Scottsdale Culinary Festival where you can enjoy the flavors and tastes of some of the best restaurants in the area. Not only will you get fabulous food for your money, but this event is also a fundraiser for the Scottsdale League of Arts.
A classic Hollywood style party kicks off the event at the Old Casablanca Lounge. This event will feature a menu from the restaurants of the Southbridge area along with drinks from days gone by. Folks can enjoy a wine and chocolate pairing on Wednesday at the Musical Instrument Museum which is sure to bring a smile to everyone’s mouth.
April 10 brings on the Burger Battle where Valley area restaurants vie for the Best Burger prize. If burgers aren’t your style, then you will certainly enjoy the 4-course Italian meal prepared by Chef Gabrielle Bertaccini. This event is so good that it takes place in a secret location that will be provided only days before the event.
On Friday, unique area wineries will provide the vino to match the cuisine prepared by the Valley restaurants. A spring fashion show will accompany this culinary meal. The weekend gets better on Saturday and Sunday with the Great Arizona Picnic. The Picnic will feature food and drinks from 50 restaurants and will take up 25 acres. Walk around enjoying all the best of the area and take in a few cooking demonstrations too. For the beer lovers there is the Blue Moon Southwest Festival covering 5 of these acres. This festival brings in 200 specialty beers and gives visitors the opportunity to talk with craft brewers, restaurant owners and beer distributors.
The Best of the Fest ends the Scottsdale Culinary Festival with a five-course meal served table side by one of the area chefs. Each course will have a wine pairing for your taste bud enjoyment. This is a great way to end a perfect foodie week.
